On the evening of April 29, 2024, DMIN Lab organized its April 2024 group meeting. The sharing session featured research presentations by Zhu Jiabao and Kuang Jinhao. First, student Zhu Jiabao introduced light field image compression, briefly explaining the concept of light field images and the imaging principle of acquisition, then focusing on the method of compressing light field images based on pseudo-video sequences. Student Kuang Jinhao introduced the application of diffusion models in image coding and decoding, mainly covering sample communication, conditional generative models, and other content. The lab’s students listened carefully to the presentations and exchanged ideas, gaining a great deal.
