On January 4, 2024, the School of Electronic Information and Communications at Huazhong University of Science and Technology held its first postgraduate academic annual conference. At the conference, our lab’s three students Lin Xian, Wu Nannan, and Shi Junjie presented their important progress in their respective research fields. Student Lin Xian deeply discussed lightweight Transformer model architectures, a study of great significance for improving model efficiency and practicality. Student Wu Nannan focused on noise-robust federated learning, whose research results are of great value for improving the stability and reliability of federated learning in scenarios involving unreliable participants. Student Shi Junjie’s work focused on missing-modality brain tumor segmentation, a study of major impact on the field of medical image analysis. Their presentations not only fully demonstrated profound academic foundations, but also showed their innovative ability in solving practical problems. After rigorous expert review, students Lin Xian and Wu Nannan won the Best Poster Award, while student Shi Junjie won the Excellent Poster Award. These awards are not only recognition of their individual research achievements, but also an affirmation of our lab’s research level.
